The Emery was built in 1917 by the McMahon Construction Company. Its adorn with metal stamped ceilings, hand made brick floors, plaster/lathe walls and hosts many other turn of the century construction elements
In 2022 this building was restored to its original beauty by a lengthy construction process that saved all the original materials and elements
Now home to The Emery Art Gallery & Emporium, you can enjoy this historical beauty while touring the Art Gallery or using its magnificent rental space for your next special event


Historic Downtown SeviervilleSevierville is the county east of Sevier County which was one of the original counties formed in Tennessee in 1796. The county was named for Colonel John Sevier, a noted Revolutionary War solider and the first governor of TennesseeThe county was originally part of the lost State of Franklin and court was held in 1785 at Newell's Station, north of SeviervilleAfter the dissolution of Franklin in 1788, Sevier County settlers governed themselves as part of territorial government until the formation of the county in 1796. The first court for the county was held on July 4, 1796 at a small settlement located at the forks of the Little Pigeon River which became known as Seiverville
